Hey ALL!!

What a great, event-filled weekend for Hood County Democrats! The 4th of July Parade had record attendance, and two great events hosting James Talarico, our U.S. Senate candidate.

We continued our tradition of participating in the Hood County Independence Day parade with a great theme for our Country’s 250th birthday: “Let Justice Flow Down Like Water”.  It was hot, but we persisted! We watered ourselves and the crowd along the route.

After four months of work with Talarico’s campaign, a few determined local democrats succeeded in scheduling a major donor fundraiser in a private home on July 5th.  The donations exceeded expectations.    Hood County is now known as a rural powerhouse!

Hours before the fundraiser event, the campaign asked if there was a local spot James could drop in for a “surprise” visit.  Local Democrats and supporters responded, and it was standing room only.  The energy was electric!  Given the short notice and security concerns, attendance was limited. Talarico gave brief remarks and took photos with attendees.

July 16th, the Hood County Democratic Club will host newly re-elected State Democratic Chair, Kendall Scudder

as our guest speaker.
